However, Twilight Princess also released on GameCube, and it released unmirrored – in its original form. Many fans believe that this is the canonical game, in part due to Link’s left-handedness, and in part due to the fact that this was the version ported to the Wii U for Twilight Princess HD. But what if this was another timeline split? That’s what some fans believe, and they think that there is a whole web of timelines connected to whether or not Link is left-han
One hundred years before Breath of the Wild begins, Ganon returned to start the second Great Calamity. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom walkthrough’s power failed to awaken in time, so the kingdom of Hyrule was in peril. Ganon had also prepared while imprisoned; this time around, he targeted the Guardians, quickly taking control of them and using them against Hylian forces. The kingdom was ruthlessly destroyed, leaving many dead, including King Rh
Although this version of the Hyrule Castle theme debuted in A Link to the Past , it has since recurred in The Minish Cap , The Wind Waker , A Link Between Worlds , Twilight Princess , and briefly in Breath of the Wild . In all of these games, the Hyrule Castle theme underscores a castle in trouble, often overtaken by a possessed king or a manipulative advisor. In some cases, it's become inaccessible, as with the sunken kingdom in Wind Waker or the blight and Guardian patrols in BOTW . It often transforms from a peaceful place into a dangerous dungeon by the end of the game, and frequently serves as the site of a final boss fi

The Legend of Zelda timeline is convoluted, to say the least. It’s fairly easy to get your head around the fact that Skyward Sword, released in 2011, is the first game chronologically in the series, but what happens after Ocarina of Time? There are three subsequent timelines? And where do Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom fit in? Wait, we don’t k

After Link defeats Demise in Skyward Sword , he stays on his feet for a few moments to utter a vague threat. He suggests that his anger will remain alive, and promises to rise again before he falls. Skyward Sword is chronologically the first game in the Zelda timeline, and Demise's grayed skin and red hair are similar to recurring antagonist Ganondorf's, who will also appear in TOTK . It's possible that the latter Zelda villain is just another manifestation of Demise's hate. The lore book Hyrule Historia hints toward this, asserting that the King of Demons was reincarnated many times after his de

None of your previous powers are here, but none of them need to be, with Tears of the Kingdom iterating upon them in ways I now consider irreplaceable. It will be hard, and almost constraining, to go back after this.
This theory posits that the GameCube version of Twilight Princess is also canon, and occurs after Link saves Termina. The hero is victorious, and being left-handed is no longer outlawed. Four Swords Adventures occurs in this timeline, as Link is clearly left-handed in
Shrines are back, except now they’re easier to track down and far more varied in puzzles and combat encounters you’ll stumble across. Most are themed around the environments they are found in, while some contain rewards for reaching them in the first place. Those which used to be filled with enemies who offered no challenge beyond a ludicrous health bar are replaced by smartly assembled battles where Link’s clothes, weapons, and items get taken away, forcing him to do battle with only his powers and whatever sits in the arena. I had trouble emerging victorious in these situations, and only because I had to conjure up a creative way to avoid taking damage and batter down my foes with maximum effectiveness.
