The story of Chapter Five in Black Myth Wukong weapons Myth: Wukong is also a familial one, dealing with the Bull King and his family. Aging and sick, the giant demon Bull King reclines against a mountain, still demanding respect from his children. The Destined One travels the area with a character who appears to be the Bull King's daughter Pingping, but they're ultimately revealed to be his son, Red Boy. Red Boy claims the spirit of Wukong's body from his father and transforms , forcing the Destined One into a fight to claim the relic for hims
Thrust Stance is an excellent and highly mobile style that works well when facing an enemy with dangerous close-range attacks, like AOE blasts, allowing you to quickly approach and retreat as the situation demands. This makes it a tricky style to learn but very rewarding to master, especially against bosses who transition to a second or third phase by using an AOE attack.
Be wary of his combos while keeping in mind that you don’t have to dodge everything. Just dodge the first strike for most of the boss' attacks and then create some distance by sprinting away . After the boss is done with his combos, approach him by using the Cloud Step or Immobilize to dish out damage.
Crafting Shock-Quelling Powder is also essential for this boss battle. This consumable cures Shock and temporarily increases resistance to it. You'll learn to craft it by completing the Xu Dog deity's request after defeating Lang-Li-Guhh-Baw in Sandgate Village.
Kang-Jin Loong flies around a shrine in the frozen lake of Mirrormere , and once your presence alarms them, they will relentlessly try to catch up with you and initiate the fight with Aerial Thrust Grab .
As his combo enders, the Tiger’s Acolyte may use these moves that will send a straight shockwave on the ground , dealing damage to the player if they’re hit by it. You can recognize this attack by the little sparks that fly as the shockwave is travelling through the ground.
The Destined One and Bajie then ascend a mountain to find and enter the stone that's said to hold Wukong's body. Within, the two are ferried on a boat ride by an aging monkey, who tells them that the Destined One possesses the spirit of Wukong's mind. The Destined One has to fight the physical form of Wukong to take his rightful place , a challenging final confrontation that he ultimately triumphs over. In turn, he takes Wukong's place in the st
Although this is the ending to the Destined One's tale that most players are likely to encounter, at least on a blind playthrough without much hunting for secrets, there's another fate for the Destined One if more hidden content is completed. If the Destined One completes enough trials to go up against Erlang Shen, he can fight this formidable foe before taking on Wukong to achieve a different ending. Here, he receives Wukong's memories , which play as an animated cutscene to close the st
Smash Stance also allows you to move around freely while charging a heavy attack and can even be used to charge while sprinting if you purchase the appropriate upgrade, making it a great stance with which to initiate fights. Running in with a fully-charged heavy attack can shave tons of health off an enemy or crush weaker foes in a single blow. That said, Smash Stance's attacks aren't great at hitting multiple targets unless they're standing in a straight line when you go for a Skyfall Strike, so you'll probably want to swap to Pillar Stance for that.
Most of these rewards are high-quality crafting materials that will automatically be added to your inventory. However, after the boss fight, a golden chest also spawns in the arena that contains the Boshan Censer Curios.
Kang-Jin Loong is the second mandatory boss in chapter three, residing in the Snowy Path of Mirrormere, who might teach you a lesson on organizing your inventory before rushing into a fight with them. Combine numerous techniques from the previous chapters, and you can effortlessly beat them.
Black Myth: Wukong ultimately hides many of the finer details of its lore in journal entries (or in reading Journey to the West , which could help explain a lot of context), but there's still a significant story of the Destined One's adventure happening at the forefront. Whether or not a player goes for the secret true ending, the Destined One achieves a monumental task in _Black Myth: Wukong _ by uniting the pieces of Wukong's spirit and ultimately defeating the body of the Monkey King to claim his pl
Staying mid-range during the fight is deadly as Kang-Jin will release Frost Breath, and dodging it can be tricky . Retreating is also a viable option, but if you get caught in the Frost Breath , it will inflict both Chill and Shock elementals along with physical damage .
As a variable combo, once unlocked, Pillar Stance allows you to use Sweeping Gale. This has the destined one plant the staff ahead of them and spin around it, performing a multi-hit kick in the process. This can strike multiple enemies around you, which can help clear some space if you're being swarmed by weaker foes. After purchasing the Gale's Blessing upgrade you'll take considerably less damage while performing the spin, making it less risky to use. After unlocking Churning Gale, you can hit heavy attack again after using Sweeping Gale to perform a wide swing with an extended staff, which deals a ton of damage and tends to stagger anything it hits.
