Rockstar isn't shy about including supernatural creatures in their games. Past works have included aliens, zombies, Bigfoot, and now even vampires. This secret is a bit later in the game once you've unlocked the Saint-Denis locat
It may seem counterintuitive, but player freedom is not always a good thing. It truly depends on the game. In a story based title like Red Dead Redemption II , it genuinely does no good to have an Arthur who can be bad while his arc is clearly pushing for him to be better. Not only does it create a dissonance between story and gameplay, it creates a plot h
Come October, I know for a fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 will have me exploring the Great American West for dozens of hours on end. However, I'll certainly make some time for a hand of cards or a game of Liar's Dice when the opportunities present themselves.
Getting into street fights in Red Dead Redemption 2 is nigh-on inevitable. Sometimes, those fights turn into all-out brawls. And, as PenGwinAssaSsin learned the hard way, occasionally the game has you destined to lose . While in a fistfight with a couple of NPCs on the road, Arthur turned to the side to be met with about a dozen more NPCs, all with their pistols out, and all firing at the same time. A rehearsed ambush? Or some sort of hive mind? Either way, it was pretty effect
Out of all the hidden masks and hats out there, this example is one of the harder to find. Head out to the Bayou right above where it says Lakay on the map. If you come across a little shack half submerged in the water, you've found the right pl
Kratos might be skilled at fighting gods and monsters, but he will be facing an entirely new kind of opponent at the 2018 Game Awards, as God of War is facing off against Red Dead Redemption 2 in every category that they are nominated
In the area of Rhodes is where our next chance encounter lies. If you happen to buy from the Gunsmith there, you might've heard some whispers as you walked in. There's a man that calls out to you from the basement hatch outs
Given that it's been eight years since we last rode out West with the Red Dead Redemption 2 Collectibles Dead series, I'm already enticed by what we've seen from Red Dead Redemption 2 and what its massive Western open world will have in store. Though we've only had a few trailers over the past year or so, there's already a tantalizing amount of variety that Rockstar has shown in its world that I can't wait to see more of in the final game, such as hunting, herding, and hopefully much more beyond that. And yet for all that I can expect Red Dead Redemption 2 will deliver a massive open world full of beauty, action, and spectacle, I can't help but hope that the minigames of Red Dead Redemption will not only make a return, but be expanded upon to really make its sequel's world that much richer and more detailed.
I've lost count of how many times my life has been saved by Dead Eye. The only problem being, if you get into repeated engagements that require Dead Eye, you're going to run out of charge pretty quic
You'll figure out pretty early on that there are certain items you get that it seems like you just can't sell to anybody, which can be a shame, because a lot of these seem to be pretty big-ticket items. So what are they good
They seem to really care for each other as they share their home cooked meal with you. Only after passing out and waking up in a mass grave do we find out that they're not actually a couple, but brother and sister. Oh, and they stole all your c
As much as I enjoyed Poker, the amusing wits of strength in Arm Wrestling, and the surprising layers of strategy in Liar's Dice, no minigame in Red Dead Redemption brought out a sense of tension in me more than Five Finger Fillet, where players had to time their button presses to a series of rapid prompts by placing a knife between the spaces on their spread out fingers. Between the grisly image of seeing John's hand spread out on a table stained with the blood of past Finger Fillet losers and the fast-paced nature of its gameplay, Five Finger Fillet felt like the perfect mix of a minigame that truly embodied the gritty, Western world of Red Dead , while also bringing a unique bit of gameplay that had me terrified to look at a knife the same way again.
I don't know if it's on purpose or a happy accident, but the horse skinning skip is back. In the original Red Dead Redemptio n with our boy John Marston, there was a simple trick. The animation for skinning an animal was actually shorter back then but people were still impati
While this is a bug that gamers are probably quite familiar with by now, it never seems to get old. Found by Reddit user Sinistrality1, John Marston appears to reveal himself to be some kind of superhuman . In the clip, keep an eye on the right side of the screen. John comes hurtling out of the sky like a missile, only to land and immediately regain his feet and keep walking as if nothing out of the ordinary happened. He even looks over at Arthur, as if trying to see if he was noticed or not. Arthur noticed, John. And he's got his eye on yo
