Rather early on into the gang, Arthur mentions that Trelawny is allowed to weave in and out of Dutch’s gang as he pleases simply because of the quality of information he gives out. At the time, this seems like a fine enough explanation, but thinking about it does nothing but unravel how stupid a decision this was on Dutch’s p

A Bright Bouncing Boy is a multi-faceted side mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 . In this side mission, you meet with Marko Dragic, a professor conducting bizarre experiments. The reason this side quest has two entries is due to the massively different and intriguing tasks in each of the two meeti

Sometimes you’ll stroll onto someone’s property; it’s an honest mistake in the vast plains of Red Dead Redemption 2 which happens quite frequently. Sometimes you’ll be threatened, which is a fair enough response for a stranger wandering onto someone's land. However, some people will invite you into their home out of the kindness of their hearts… or so we th

Situational awareness is a skill needed for just about every video game, but it's more necessary in some scenarios than others. And if you are hunting and your prey falls dead on the railroad tracks... it's safest to keep both eyes peeled, as Reddit user johnnydoo2 learned the hard way when the train passed right through him and even scooped him up for a free ride. Things could have certainly gone worse; the train could have simply splattered him, but there's no doubt his Arthur Morgan isn't going to be forgetting that anytime soon. And what must the passengers on the train thou

On the subject of player freedom, Chapter 2 will feature an instance in Money Lending and Other Sins where Arthur Morgan confronts Thomas Downes, the man who ultimately infects him with TB. Naturally, most players will beat up poor Thomas without really thinking considering the context of the miss

Getting into street fights in Red Dead Redemption 2 is nigh-on inevitable. Sometimes, those fights turn into all-out brawls. And, as PenGwinAssaSsin learned the hard way, occasionally the game has you destined to lose . While in a fistfight with a couple of NPCs on the road, Arthur turned to the side to be met with about a dozen more NPCs, all with their pistols out, and all firing at the same time. A rehearsed ambush? Or some sort of hive mind? Either way, it was pretty effect

As much as I enjoyed Poker, the amusing wits of strength in Arm Wrestling, and the surprising layers of strategy in Liar's Dice, no minigame in Red Dead Redemption 2 Treasure Maps Dead Redemption brought out a sense of tension in me more than Five Finger Fillet, where players had to time their button presses to a series of rapid prompts by placing a knife between the spaces on their spread out fingers. Between the grisly image of seeing John's hand spread out on a table stained with the blood of past Finger Fillet losers and the fast-paced nature of its gameplay, Five Finger Fillet felt like the perfect mix of a minigame that truly embodied the gritty, Western world of Red Dead , while also bringing a unique bit of gameplay that had me terrified to look at a knife the same way again.

Interestingly, the mission actually gives you a choice. You can simply threaten Thomas if you want. Despite this, the immediate cutscenes shows a bloody and bruised Thomas as if Arthur did beat him up. Player freedom resulted in a cutscenes that will be totally inaccurate for more passive play

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th, 2018. If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, there's still time to pre-order the game on Amazon ahead of its release this fall.

Either due to a glitch or an oversight, it’s possible to do Edith Downes’ missions in Chapter 6 out of order. Depending on how players proceed, they’ll be helping Edith Downes leave Annesburg only to find her in Annesburg with Arthur having never helped her at all. It’s a totally nonsensical turn of events that should have been examined clos

Great games are no stranger to some of the biggest bugs. Sometimes ambition can be a curse, and when you're doing something that's never been done before, you're bound to hit some bumps along the way. Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most inventive games ever made , and so it follows that there are some seriously strange bugs that have slipped through the cra

All that shooting, running, and wrasslin' gets Arthur real dirty, real quick. If you're too covered in dirt or blood, people won't look upon you in a good light. To clean up, and also clean your clothes, go to a hotel. Get a bath, and wash yourself. If you're not fancying doing the whole cleaning minigame, you can pay extra for a deluxe service, and get someone else to wash you. The best part? Doing this will somehow magically clean your clothes

You know in the tutorial, where your hat gets knocked off by an O'Driscoll? That makes it seem as though it'll always be easy to find your hat. Not so. All too often I've ridden off into the sunset only to realize that Arthur now has a rapidly developing sunburn. You can always get it back though. Your horse doubles as a traveling haberdashery, and if you go into its L1/LB menu, you can find all your hats in the bottom ri
